چکیده
This study investigated the utilisation of Luffa cylindrica activated carbon as a low-cost adsorbent in removal vanadium(V) from textile industry effluent batch adsorption experiment. The rate was studied for contact time, pH, and dosage. effect pH on with 0.2 g/100 ml dose, 10 min solution. maximum efficiency 99.90 % at 4, 97.43 60 97.83 an dosage 1.0 g. characterisation results FTIR SEM indicated that adsorbents’ potential fully exploited. In this study, experimental findings were fitted using Langmuir Freundlich isotherm models. model gave better fit data. kinetic data by pseudo-second order than pseudo-first model.

Phytoremediation of Textile Industry Effluent using Aquatic Macrophytes
Introduction Pollution can be defined in several ways. Water pollution occurs when energy and other materials are released into water. It includes all of the waste materials that cannot be naturally broken down by water. In other words, anything that is added to the water, above and beyond its capacity to break it down, is pollution. In certain circumstances pollution can be caused by nature it...
متن کاملRemoval of Dyes from Textile Industry Effluent: A Review
Effluent from the textile industry contains toxic compounds. These compounds contaminate the surface water, thereby making it unfit for irrigation and drinking. Since farmers use water from the rivers for agricultural purposes and the residents of the town, use both the surface and underground water from the same area as potable water, it is quite unsafe to discharge this effluent into water bo...
متن کاملC.o.d Reduction of Reactive Dyeing Effluent from Cotton Textile Industry
The present study focuses on the improvement in the effluent treatment for the effluent generated from a cotton textile industry employing three reactive dyeing methods viz., Exhaust method, Pad-Dry-Cure method, and Pad-Batch method. Stabilisation pond, aeration tank, and aerobic biological treatment (using E-Coli type bacteria) are simulated in the laboratory in a series operation. Results rev...
متن کاملAdsorption of 4-chlorophenol from aqueous solution using activated carbon synthesized from aloe vera green wastes
In this study, activated carbon synthesized from Aloe vera green wastes was used as a sorbent to remove 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) from aqueous solutions. The influence of contact time (0-100 minutes), pH (2-8), adsorbent dosage (1-9 g/l), and initial 4-CP concentration (10-60 mg/l) in batch system was investigated on the sorption. The sorbent was specified using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). ...
متن کاملAdsorption of Reactive Red 194 Dye from Textile Effluent by Using Class F Fly Ash
A low cost adsorbent Fly Ash was used for the removal of Reactive Red 194 dye (RR 194 dye) from textile effluent. The Fly ash was activated by chemical treatment by N/2 H2SO4. Batch adsorption experiments were performed as functions of adsorbent doses, initial dye concentration, contact time, and pH. The percentage of colour removal was increased with decreasing dye concentration and increasing...
